101. Name: James. Ford Model: MK7 1.6 TDCI Titanium 5 door. Ford Year: 2009. UK/Ireland Location: Lancashire. Posted April 21, 2013. Does anybody have a good guide to removing the egr valve. I've looked around on the Internet and can't find one. Even if its just a photo of it and the bolts that hold it on.
I'm getting all these symptoms bar the Diesel splatters on my 2006 Fiesta 1.6 TDCi. It's just hit 116K and i've read this could be EGR valve needs replacing/removing, Turbo seals need replacing or
Anyway, my other half an I bought an '09 Ford Focus Zetec - the 1.6 TDCi version, with 103000 miles on the clock - about a week and a half ago as his old car was on its way out. We travelled a lot over the xmas period so have managed to pile nearly 1000 miles on it since buying. Is it best to go for a 1.6 petrol one than keeping the tdci until problems start arising, already Ive had to replace the fuel pump which had a broken seal and now Ive noticed the water is also dripping around the same area just further below the fuel pump from a silver metal pipe junction.
My focus was losing power when up to temperature and I got the following error codes using Forscan: P1412-60 - EGR valve frozen P0490-20 - EGR Circuit high P042F-40 - EGR Stuck closed P042F-C - EGR stuck closed So, I brought it to the garage and they fitted a new EGR valve - Haas I believe.
